2018 Challenge

Let the 2018 quilt challenge begin!

This year's challenge is to create a quilted item using three fat quarters selected by the Guild. All members will use the same three fat quarters that have been purchased by the Guild from Stitch ’N Quilt. Those who choose to participate will reimburse the Guild a total of $6 for the discounted cost of three fat quarters.

The following guidelines will apply for this year’s challenge:

GENERAL RULE: Everyone gets the same three fat quarters. Lets see what different ideas members can come up with!

WHAT TO QUILT: Anything goes! Lap quilts, wall hangings, table runners, placemats and tote bags are some ideas to spark creativity. Please remember size requirements, below.

MINIMUM SIZE: The minimum size of your creation is 48 inch circumference (12x12 inches).

MAXIMUM SIZE: Your project should be no larger than 280 inch circumference.

FABRIC SELECTION: The majority of the three fat quarters should be used. Other fabric may be added and is encouraged! Some coordinating fabric ideas are available at Stitch ’N Quilt or you may choose your own fabrics and materials to make a one-one-of-kind quilted item.

COMPLETION: Projects will be completed and presented during the December monthly meeting.

JUDGING: Everyone is a winner who participates! Prizes will be presented based on best overall representation of the challenge, most creative use of the challenge fabric and member favorite. Let the challenge begin!

Respectfully,
