Promoting and perpetuating the art of quilting




What:  

The purpose and the goal of the Georgia Friendship Quilters Guild is to promote and to perpetuate the art of quilting in all of its aspects. The work of the GFQC is designed to benefit and to educate all persons interested in preserving, continuing, and advancing this art form. The members of GFQC encourage a high standard of design and technique in all forms of quilting, and promote the art of quilting by sponsoring workshops.  Georgia Friendship Quilters Guild also supports the community through the donation of quilts to designated service organizations.


Where:
The Georgia Friendship Quilters Guild meets at the Freeman Poole Senior Center located at 4025 S. Hurt Road, Smyrna, GA 30082.  

When:

  • The members of the Georgia Friendship Quilters Guild meet the first Wednesday of the month at 9:30am for a business meeting and program (excluding July).  Visitors are welcome.
  • A quilt bee meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 11:00am for open sewing and fellowship.
  • A workshop is held on the third Wednesday of the month at 9:30am.  There may be supplies required and a small fee for instructors. 

How:
Membership is on an annual basis.  Dues are $25 a year.
